It's good practice to establish a study routine and study techniques which work for your child, especially to get students ready for High/Senior School and beyond.
Here are some useful study tips:
Establish a realistic routine Set aside a particular time each day for study and revision and stick to it. Don't be over ambitious. Try to create one which you know you/your child will stick too.
Create a study environment Find a space in your home that is away from interruption and noise. For example - away from the TV, mobile, computers. These can be tempting if nearby. Also, make sure there is adequate lighting and ventilation, a comfortable chair and appropriate desk.
Create a timetable Make a plan of what you would like to revise or study. This helps students organise their time without getting too overwhelmed.
Reward for studying Make sure to reward you or your child for studying. Get some fresh air - Take a walk in the park, do some exercise, talk to some friends.
Have variety in your study program Try and make the study program varied. This will make it less repetitive and boring.
